Chairman's Newsletter No. 41

Dear Members,
With a full range of scores from George Walsh the last of this years assessments was subjected at times to some light hearted banter from the members with George. Yet his deep and vast knowledge of photography allowed him to pin point the salient points of every image. He did not fall into the old trap of describing the image, after all we can see what is presented, however the often short pause showed that he was studying the images with an experts eye. My thanks to Stan for his summing up and to everyone who assisted with the smooth running of the evening.

Sunday 20th
The Timsbury hall management committee have invited us to put on a small display in the hall during the afternoon while they hold the opening ceremony for the new garden complex. My thanks to those who have left me some of your prints for this short exhibition. Hopefully the weather is kind for the occasion, I believe the opening is timed for 2;30pm.

Tuesday 22nd June.
This is the planned visit to Marwell Zoo and I know that we can take extra people if you decide you want to go. For the rest of the club George Atkins is arranging to use the Royale projector to show some hints and tips to get the best out of an image. This is something you have asked us to do so please get involved, ask questions, bring a note book & pen.

My regards and keep snapping!
Terry
